Jacob and Kelley: July Wedding at the Winery

I will always remember Kelley.  She is one of the first Brides I had the pleasure of working with at Chaumette.  I instantly found her to be adorable, inside and out!

She aslo introduced me to http://www.etsy.com/ .   She ordered this wedding tree from etsy:

Instead of a guest book, her guest would use a stamp pad and add their thumbprint to the tree, then sign their name.  I would suggest a visit to the website would be worth  your time, I found a lot of neat things there.
I wanted to share a quote from Kelley:
"I come from a family of wine lovers who enjoy visiting wineries in all parts
of the United States. We are lucky that among all of the wineries we have
seen, our favorite winery is in our own backyard in Southeast Missouri.
Chaumette is a breathtaking winery that rests at the peak of a rolling hill.
It has the feeling of a mom and pop winery, but has amenities to suggest
otherwise. Two years ago, my finance and I stood on the porch outside
Chaumette's tasting room while looking out over the beautiful countryside.
It was here that we made the easy decision to choose Chaumette as our
wedding venue.  We were able to use the elegant and natural atmosphere at
Chaumette to create our dream wedding. There is no need for excess
decorations at Chaumette, because the venue speaks for itself. We added
simple paper cones to the church pews and filled them with fresh cut vines
from our own garden. The reception tables were also adorned with simple
greenery, and corks were used as placeholders. We received so many
complements on the food, and there was plenty to leave every guest more than
satisfied. Our favorite part of the day was when we snuck out of the
reception with our photographers so that we could have some snapshots of us
enjoying the last few minutes of daylight on the grounds. Our wedding gave
the feel of destination wedding, while being so close to home."
Here are some of those photos that she is speaking of:
Here is one of my favorites:

Kelley and Jacob's Ceremony took place at our Chapel, St. Vincent's in the Vineyard, and their reception was held in the Jacquelyn Ballroom and the adjoining Genevieve Room.  They had around 180 guest in attendance.  The menu for the evening was two themed stations, American and Italian.  Served for dessert were some very delicious cupcakes!
Here are a few more pics from that day:

The Barn at Chaumette

I am so excited to announce that Chaumette Winery will be opening the Barn to host Weddings this May!  We will also have a few other events such as family reunions, anniversary parties, corporate parties and birthday parties.  You all know that Weddings at Chaumette are my passion and being able to host one in our Barn has me....well, over the moon!  I am also planning to have a few Friday night Barn Dances.  We will have a country band come in and serve some of Chef Adam's amazing food along with our wonderful wine and Charleville's Beer.  Doesn’t that sound like fun!?

I have some pictures below with the Barn in the background (below).  I will be photographing it as it is being renovated and update it often on my blog.

I also invite you to visit Pinterest.com and search "barn weddings" if you are considering this for your wedding.   It is full of ideas!  You do not have to be a member to browse around for ideas.  Since we have decided to open the Barn I visit the site nightly!

I am really looking forward to having rustice weddings at Chaumette, or some may call them Shabby chic...also a great way to describe them, Country Class!  Stay tuned for more updates on the Barn at Chaumette!

Something or Someone I would like to share with you...

One Wedding that I am working on getting on here this week is the wedding of Kelly and Jacob.  I will talk a little more about their wedding and share their beautiful pictures in my next blog.  For now I wanted to mention the designer of her wedding invitations.  Neleon Design.  Allison, owner and designer, was very helpful and creative with Kelly's invitations and programs.  I loved them so much they are still hanging on a bulletin board in my office.  She made the cutest timeline for the guests.  Anyway, I just wanted to share her information with you.  I know several of you just got engaged and are thinking about your invitations now so I thought this would be helpful to you!
